LONG DESCRIPTION OF SIGHTING REPORT

Long Description of Sighting Report
At approximately 9:30pm I was sitting on my rear patio facing east when I observed a star-like object, white in color, moving on an east to west trajectory. I cannot give an objective altitude, however I would guess the height at 40,000 ft. The object was south of my position at an angle of 75 degrees from the ground. Due to the object's altitude, I would state that speed was well above typical jetliner speeds. Object was observed for 10 seconds. At 9;45pm, while sitting in same position on patio, I heard a distinct and somewhat painful high-pitched sound in my left ear. I looked up to the east and observed a "flash" of light....white in color....and shaped like a missile moving southwest to northeast at extremely high rate of speed. Altitude is estimated to be 500 ft. at an angle of 60 degrees from the ground. Object moved through field of vision in 1 second. What was strange is the object seemed to leave a translucent ring trail that glowed for several seconds after the rod/missile passed. I would estimate missle to be 100 ft. in length. Not a meteor, as missle and ring trail were very distinct in shape. Only sound observed was a high-pitched sound and some pain in my left ear. My 3 dogs did not respond to the sound that I heard, so I assume they heard nothing. I must input that back in June I had contact with an object in same location. From that point forward I have experienced a high-pitched humming sound in both ears that has not gone away. This experience raised that volume in left ear to a "painful" level. After rod/missile left area of vision, pain in left ear went away, however high-pitched humming in both ears continues as it has since June observation.
